Camping

The weather was GORGEOUS this weekend, so we went camping! I'm actually embarrassed to say (with both of us being recreation management majors and growing up loving to camp) that this was our first time to camp as a family. Tommy and I went once before Bradley was born and that is it! Craziness. After how much fun we had we were feeling silly we haven't done it more. 

We just went to a campground that is super close to us. It's about 20 minutes away in Winton Woods. We both missed mountain, awesome national park type camping...but it was still great. We definitely had the best site in the campground. It was on the edge, had lots of trees, and overlooked the lake. 

We got there around five, set up camp, and roasted hot dogs. 

Bradley tried roasting a bun. haha. 

Caleb was grumpy unless being held. 

Bradley was all smiles. :)

Bradley asked about marshmallows every 5 minutes. gah! We waited until Caleb was in bed and then did them.  

Caleb slept in his car seat all night and did surprisingly well. He was asleep by 7 and didn't wake up until 5. Then he just slept with us. Bradley stayed up until almost 10. He loved that. 

We all got up around 6:30. Tommy made a delicious pancake and egg breakfast and then we packed up and went on a easy 1 mile hike.  

It was so much fun and a great way to enjoy the nice weather. We will definitely be doing it more often!!
