Wednesday night we got to hang out with some good friends up the canyon. We went with two of my old roommates, Jocelyn and Melissa, and Jason (Jocelyn's husband) and Jake (Tommy's good friend). Before we went up the canyon we found out another roommate, Lizi, was passing through town and would only be in Provo that night. She now lives in New Mexico and recently had a baby and we hadn't gotten to meet him yet. So we were all really excited that we got to go see her and her adorable baby Zachary! We love and miss her a lot so it was really happy to see her!
Then we drove up the canyon and found a nice secluded spot to build a fire to roast hot dogs and smores. We had a great time sitting around chatting and enjoying the perfect weather. We also played 2 truths and a lie (you tell 2 truths and a lie about yourself and people have to guess which one is the lie). It was tricky since us girls know each other so well, but it was fun to try to come up with things that no one else would know. (our spouses weren't allowed to answer since they would obviously know the right answer).
Melissa didn't want her marshmellow completely melted because it was too messy but she wanted her chocolate to be soft so everyone pitched in to help her warm her entire smore.
And she was happy about it.

We tried to have a fire last night, but thunderstorm changed our plans...maybe tonight. Love the gnome, and we had a blast in Utah over the 4th. Kids can't wait to go back. Also, congrats on 1 year. So cool! You guys are great :)
