Cultures

We've had a culture filled month.

BYU Culture
Divine Comedy. We love Divine Comedy and it has played a special role in our relationship. :) I love when we get to go.

The Cost is Correct. BYUSA put on an event this year that copied The Price is Right. It was pretty awesome and a ton like the real show. We felt like we were actually at a game show.
Irish Culture
St. Patricks Day. I think it is such a fun, random holiday to celebrate. So we did. We dyed all our food green. We had pasta, broccoli, applesauce, and milk. Then for dessert we had chocolate pudding with green cool whip on top. It tasted much better than it looked...promise.

LDS Culture
Draper Temple. We had the chance to go through the temple with my old roommate Becca for her first time. It was fun to be there with her. And the Draper temple is beautiful.

Us Culture
Picnics. Since spring has arrived in Provo, we have enjoyed spending time outside. The first day that it was nice was conveniently a Friday (which means we are done with work and school by 11ish) and we went and bought yummy sub bread and deli ham and cheese and had a picnic at the park just a block from our apartment.
Sunday after church we wanted to use our leftovers from Friday's picnic to have another one, but the weather wasn't nice...so we had a picnic in our living room. :)

This past Saturday was really nice again so we headed up to campus to lay on the grass and read/nap. I love spring!!!

Exercising. Or at least our attempt to. The warm weather has inspired us to get off our butts and go running. Hopefully it will continue to inspire us.

Fort night. We built a fort on Saturday night. We first built it (it took a few tries to get it how we wanted), then played Skip-bo (our latest game obsession), ate our yummy homemade pizza, and watched The Princess Bride in it. It was great fun.

P.S. this was the first time I have watched the Princess Bride since we got married and it was just really weird to me to keep hearing 'Montoya' in it because it really isn't too common of a name. But at the same time I felt very proud to be associated with such a classic character. :)

Polynesian
Luau. BYU Multicultural Student Services puts on a luau every year and we went to it last night. We got to eat delicious Hawaiian food.
And we enjoyed an AWESOME show! They highlighted cultural dances from Tahiti, Hawaii, New Zealand, Samoa, Tonga, and Fiji. I loved it! People have amazing talents.

We've enjoyed some pretty awesome things this month and we actually have more cultural things to go later this week...so I'll probably do a cultures part 2.
