Christmas

We survived our 16-day, 3400 mile road trip to Arizona and back for Christmas. It was exhausting but a lot of fun!

We took 3 days to get out there. Bradley was so excited about going to Arizona and this trip helped him understand just how far it really is. Every time we stopped he asked, "This is Arizona?" He was disappointed the first night we stopped at the hotel instead of Grandma's house. But he actually had a lot of fun in the hotel getting popcorn and soda and going swimming. The only problem happened the first day when Tommy accidentally closed the DVD player in the car door and it stopped working. haha...we bought a new one that night. We were not going to do the whole trip without that! And Bradley put Cheerios in Caleb's mouth (who isn't eating solids yet) and reeeeally liked to touch him. Other than that it was great.
Whataburger! I loved being in Texas for part of the time. We may have eaten at Whataburger both times we were in Amarillo. :)
We had a blast in Arizona! We got to see so much family! Bradley had so much fun with them all. Sam and Sariah are the best uncle and aunt and played with him so much. And he had a blast with all the cousins. I really love Pinetop-Lakeside. It is just so beautiful. They hadn't had snow yet and we had some gorgeous, sunny days that we were able to play outside and go on walks. I can't think of many things better than walking through the woods on a mountain on a beautiful day. Sariah got baptized, we played lots of games, went bowling, watched movies, ate good food, and played.
Playing hide and seek with Grandma Montoya. It was so cute!
We did the nativity with the cousins at a nursing home after church.
PJs from Grandma Cox - matches all the cousins

Setting out cookies for Santa
Tommy got the flu on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. That was sad.

Bradley was impressed by Grandma's headstand skills and wanted to do it too.
Just a little bit of snow while we were there
I love how much these two love each other! Also, Caleb is going bald. :(
Fell asleep on Grandma
saying goodbyes
We met Grandma and Grandpa Montoya at Burger King in Albuquerque on our drive back
We stayed a night with my high school best friend, Sarah. It was so fun to see her and meet baby Grayson. Bradley had a blast with her husband James and their dogs. I'm so glad we got to see them!
We left a day earlier than planned from Sarah's to beat some bad weather, so we had to spend New Years Eve in a hotel in the middle of Missouri. We just put the kids to bed, watched TV, ate hotel popcorn and soda, and celebrated the New Year on Ohio time so we could get to bed by 11. Not ideal, but fun enough.
It was such a great trip! We were lucky the gas prices dropped just in time for our trip. The lowest price we saw was $1.63 in Oklahoma City and the highest was $2.60ish in Pinetop. Pretty awesome! It was a fun Christmas!
