On Saturday we went to a Strawberry Fest in a very, very small town called Shandon about 30 minutes west of us. Tommy had seen advertisements for it, so we decided to check it out. It was a beautiful day and we took the back, wooded roads with the windows down. It was so nice. The town was incredibly small - only about 1/2 mile long. They had a few vendors (seemed like very local stuff) and an antique tractor show.
Mostly we just enjoyed walking around a bit and then found a beautiful spot in the grass to eat their "famous" strawberry shortcake and homemade ice cream. It was fun.
Love these two so much!
Then we took a different back road towards home and decided to go to Sharonwoods Park (a beautiful park fairly close to home) where we walked the 2 mile loop around the lake. It was such a nice afternoon together!
